SHARE Alexian, Adventist to form a partnership

Alexian Brothers Health System and Adventist Midwest Health have reached a defining agreement to form a partnership with their nine total hospitals.

Pending regulatory approvals, five Alexian Brothers hospitals and four Adventist Midwest hospitals in suburban Chicago will join together, creating an integrated health care system that will serve a combined population of more than 3.8 million people.

But the CEOs have stressed that the systems are not merging.
