Teen shot in Brighton Park

A 16-year-old boy was shot Tuesday evening in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened about 6:45 p.m. in the 4000 block of South California, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a graze wound to the right arm and a gunshot wound to the calf, Gaines said. His condition was stabilized.
