A teenager was critically wounded and a man hurt in a Back of the Yards neighborhood shooting on the South Side early Sunday.

A 20-year-old man was driving with a 17-year-old boy in the passenger seat about 4:25 a.m. in the 1700 block of West 47th Street when another vehicle pulled up alongside them and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Ana Pacheco said.

The teen was shot in the head and a bullet grazed the left side of the man’s body, Pacheco said. He drove them to Stroger Hospital, where the teen was listed in critical condition. The driver’s condition was stabilized, police said.
