A man was stabbed near a Whole Foods grocery story in the Gold Coast neighborhood Monday night.
The 46-year-old man was near the 700 block of North Dearborn about 10:20 p.m. when another male walked up and stabbed him in the chest, police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
Paramedics could be seen transporting the victim from outside the parking garage entrance of a Whole Foods store at 30 W. Huron.
