A man was arrested Friday in connection with a sexual assault that occurred last March in west suburban Aurora.

Jesus Ernesto Avilas, 34, sexually assaulted a woman on March 28 in the 1000 block of U.S. 30 in unincorporated Aurora,a statement from the Kendall County Sheriff’s office said.

On Nov. 13, Avilas, of Oswego, was charged in a warrant with two counts of criminal sexual assault.

On Friday, he was taken into custody without incident at his home in the 200 block of East Washington Street in Oswego, the sheriff’s office said.

His bond was set at $50,000.
