Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Russell Martin and his agent met with the Cubs on Thursday, according to 670 The Score’s Bruce Levine.

Levine also notes the Cubs are one of four teams on Martin’s list.

Martin, 31, will be the best catcher available in free agency this offseason.

He had a .290/.402/.430 slash line last season with 11 home runs and 67 RBIs in 111 games.
