MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Police say a West Virginia man suspected in four killings in separate shootings has been found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

State police spokesman Lt. Dennis Johnson says 39-year-old Jody Lee Hunt of Westover was found in the woods Monday evening in the southern part of Monongalia County.

Johnson says Hunt’s body was found in “a power line right of way” around 7 p.m.

Earlier, state police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous says Hunt was wanted in two shootings in the Westover area and the other the same day in the Cheat Lake area in Monongalia County.

Baylous says two of the victims were found in the Cheat Lake shooting. Court records indicated one of the victims had filed a domestic violence case against Hunt last month.
