(WHEATON) A west suburban man was sentenced to 24 years in prison Thursday after he earlier pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two young girls.

Jordan Wesley, 21, pleaded guilty in September to two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office.

Judge John Kinsella sentenced him to 24 years in prison Thursday, the state’s attorney’s office said.

Prosecutors claim Wesley had inappropriate sexual contact with a 12-year-old girl in September 2013. He also abused another girl, 14, in June 2013.

The crimes took place in parks and wooded areas in Wood Dale and Itasca, prosecutors said. He was arrested after the 12-year-old’s mother became suspicious and took her daughter to a hospital for an exam.

Wesley, of the 400 block of East Itasca Street in Wood Dale, must serve 19 years in prison before he is eligible for parole, the state’s attorney’s office said.
