Much has been made about Nikola Mirotic’s inability to play defense. Just listen and watch Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau when Mirotic is on defense in a half-court set. The defensive-minded coach rides the rookie incessantly.

Well, maybe Mirotic can throw this video back at his coach. The close-out was a little late along with the hand in the face, but no one can argue with the results. Clearly, the defensive intimidation of Mirotic caused the Nets’ Cory Jefferson to fire up one of the worst air balls in modern NBA history.
