WASHINGTON — A White House focus is on exports on Thursday, as President Barack Obama joins a meeting of the President’s Export Council. Vice President Joe Biden attends a breakfast with the council at their meeting in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker will also attend.

In the morning, the President and Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will join a meeting of the President’s Export Council in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The President’s Export Council advises the President on policies and programs that affect U.S. trade performance and promote export expansion. There will be a pool spray at the top, and the meeting will be covered by the print pooler. This event will be streamed live at www.WhiteHouse.gov/live.
