A man was shot while waiting for a bus Thursday morning in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 18-year-old man was standing in the 3100 block of West Pershing about 9:35 a.m. when someone walked up and fired shots at him before running off, police said.

He was shot in the left shoulder and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.

The shooter is described as a Hispanic male dressed in all black, police said.

Police said the victim is a self-admitted gang member.
