Her name is Luna.

For the first few weeks of her life, the Shedd Aquarium’s rescued sea otter had gone by “Pup 681.”

But on Friday morning, the Shedd Aquarium announced which of five names voters chose for the already beloved animal – what we should call her besides “adorable” and “squee-inducing.”

The aquarium partnered with Good Morning America to host the naming contest, allowing voters to choose from five names that tell the story of her rescue in California and new life in Chicago. They hosted an online name reveal party at 8:20 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12.

Author J.K. Rowling also had thrown her support behind the name Luna, one of the characters in her equally-beloved Harry Potter series.
