(NORTHBROOK) A 52-year-old woman died Friday morning after being hit by a car Thursday night in Northbrook.

Ewa M. Krol was struck by a vehicle in the evening hours near Sanders Road and Dana Court, according to a statement from Northbrook police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Krol, whose home address was unknown Friday night, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where she was pronounced dead at 10:15 a.m., authorities said.

Northbrook police could not immediately be reached for further details.
