SHARE Police warn of South Shore neighborhood burglaries

Police are warning South Shore residents of a recent string of burglaries in their South Side neighborhood.

In three recent incidents, the burglars gain entry through a door or window and steal property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened in the following locations:

– in the 6700 block of South Merrill between 3 p.m. Dec. 2 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5;

– in the 6700 block of South Chappel between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Dec. 6; and

– in the 6700 block of South Chappel between 5 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 p.m. Dec. 8.

A description of the burglars was not available.
