Two officers were injured when an unmarked Chicago Police car crashed into another vehicle in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side Saturday morning.

The two-car crash happened about 9 a.m. in the 5300 block of South Union, police said. Both officers were taken to Stroger Hospital where their conditions had stabilized, police said.

The other driver was also injured. He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, but was later released, officials said.

It was not immediately known if that person would be given any citations.
