A 27-year-old man was shot to death in a drive-by attack on Friday evening in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 5 p.m., Tyrece L. Stornes was outside his home in the 10400 block of South State when someone fired shots at him from a passing vehicle, according to police and the Cook County medical examnier’s office.

Stornes was shot in the chest and side and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Police did not have an update on the investigation Saturday morning, when an autopsy was scheduled for Stornes.
