One hurt in Chatham shooting

A man was shot Saturday morning in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 35-year-old was walking in the 400 block of East 87th Street at 6:35 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the ankle, police said.
