Brendan Toye was a starter for Oak Park-River Forest at the beginning of the season, but then a bad week of practice left him coming off the bench on Saturday as the Huskies took a long trip to play Schaumburg.

Toye remained positive and continued to work hard. That perseverance paid off as he played the unlikeliest of heroes in the Huskies’ 36-29 victory over the Saxons.
