Three men were shot Saturday night in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The group was in a vehicle heading eastbound in the 3300 block of West Polk about 11:15 p.m. when someone in a vehicle heading in the opposite direction opened fire, police said.

The three drove off from the scene and were discovered in the vehicle by police officers in the 1500 block of South Karlov, police said.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. Another 21-year-old man was shot in the foot and taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital. A third man, 19, was shot in the leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

The conditions of all three victims had stabilized, police said.

A police source said all three men are documented gang members.
