(CHANNAHON) A crash on Interstate 55 in Channahon snarled the morning commute in the southwest suburbs and left one person injured Monday morning.

Two semi trucks collided about 4:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-55 near Blodgett Road, according to Illinois State Police Trooper Jeremy Kunken.

One driver was taken to Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet with non-life-threatening injuries, Kunken said.

All northbound lanes were closed to traffic at Blodgett Road until about 6:30 a.m., Kunken said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
