American Airlines will award bonus miles in 2015 for passengers who fly first or business class.

American announced Monday the bonus miles will be based on distance flown, the airfare and the flier’s status level in the AAdvantage or Dividend Miles frequent-flier programs. The bonus miles will be offered on American and U.S. Airways flights.

“As the largest airline in the world, with a global network that spans 54 countries, our frequent flyer program must also be the best in the business,” Suzanne Rubin, president of AAdvantage Loyalty Program, said in a statement.

“A mile flown continues to be a mile earned in AAdvantage, and now we’re going to reward customers even more when they purchase a First or Business Class ticket.”
