While there’s obviously a market for everything, I’m sure the majority of people reading this will be greatly relieved that former TV reality phenomenon “Mama June” Shannon  — of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” fame — will not be accepting Vivid Video’s $1 million offer to film a sex tape with her on-again-off-again partner Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson.

“I have more respect for my kids and my family,” Shannon told TMZ. “It ain’t happening, not even for a zillion dollars.”

Vivid, the well-known producer of pornographic films, reached out to Shannon and Thompson and received a lot of online attention and publicity for its offer over the weekend. Vivid released a letter sent to the couple explaining the proposed (now rejected) film would fit in with “one of the new genres that has become popular on VividTV and vivid.com … BBW, which stands for big, beautiful women.”

In recent weeks, Shannon has been the target of many unflattering media reports about the time she spent with Mark McDaniel, a man who sexually assaulted her then 8-year-old daughter Anna before he went to prison. The backlash caused TLC to cancel “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”
