(CALUMET PARK) Two people were shot while riding in a vehicle on Interstate 57 in south suburban Calumet Park early Saturday.

The two people — whose ages and genders were not immediately known — were shot while riding in a vehicle in the northbound lanes of I-57 near 127th Street, according to Illinois State Police. The exact time of the shooting was not available.

One person was shot in the leg, police said. The other person’s injuries, along with each person’s hospital information, were not known.

All lanes except the far right were closed as of 5:15 a.m. while authorities investigated.
