Man shot in Chatham

A man was shot Sunday afternoon in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 52-year-old man was shot in the leg about 1:45 p.m. in the 8900 block of South Cottage Grove, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

The man was taken to Trinity Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Sweeney said.
