(BEACH PARK) Three men have been charged in connection with a reputed “drug house” in north suburban Beach Park.

The Lake County sheriff’s office conducted a two-week investigation of a suspect drug house on Waldo Avenue in Beach Park on Thursday, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. As part of the investigation, authorities conducted two traffic stops and executed a search warrant at the home.

Detectives recovered 539.5 grams of cannabis, 87.9 grams of heroin, 61.9 grams of powdered cocaine, 14.7 grams of crack cocaine, 10.85 ounces of Promethazine, assorted drug paraphernalia, two handguns and $5,941 in cash.

Damon D. Duffie, 30, of Beach Park was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the statement.

Dwayne D. Gordon, 28, of Waukegan was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated possession of a firearm, armed violence and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Aaron Swopes, 31, of Waukegan was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and also faces traffic charges.

Duffie and Gordon are each being held on a $1 million bond and will next appear in court Dec. 15. Swopes is being held on a $100,000 bond and will next appear in court Nov. 25.
