Two people were hurt in a chain-reaction crash Thursday morning near City Hall in the Loop.

About 5:25 a.m., a motorcyclist ran a red light on Washington at LaSalle, then struck a taxi, which swerved and struck a bicyclist, police said.

The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old man, and bicyclist, a 36-year-old man, were both taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The motorcyclist was cited for disobeying a red light, not having insurance, and not having registration.
