Police are warning residents about a series of robberies reported this month in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

In each reported incident, a group of robbers approached victims and took property from them by force, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The most recent robbery was reported about 10:30 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 700 block of North LeClaire, police said. The other robberies occurred about 6:20 a.m. on Oct. 19 in the 900 block of North Laramie and about 6:40 p.m. on Oct. 17 in the 600 block of North Lamon.

Police said descriptions of the suspects varied, but that they were generally described as 18 to 30-year-old men standing between 5-foot-7 and 6-feet tall and weighing 160 to 200 pounds.
