Man shot in Jeffery Manor

A man was shot late Thursday in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood on the South Side.

The man, in his 20s, was walking home in the 9700 block of South Merill at 10:50 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up next to him, police said. Someone then got out and fired several shots, striking the man in his arm, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was in good condition, police said.
