(ST. CHARLES) David L. Bognar, 50, pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated stalking and domestic battery, both felonies, the Kane County state’s attorney’s office said in a statement.

In March 2013, Bognar called his ex-girlfriend’s cell phone and job multiple times, leaving messages for her with co-workers, prosecutors said.

He also visited her job, causing the woman to get an order of protection against him, prosecutors said.

Then, on June 2, 2013, Bognar — who has been previously convicted of domestic battery — hit the woman, prosecutors said.

Bognar, of the 600 block of Lucille Street in South Elgin, agreed to the eight-year sentence Friday in Kane County Circuit Court in St. Charles.
