(PARK RIDGE) An Evanston man has been charged with a series of burglaries last month in northwest suburban Park Ridge.
Alfonso Vega, 36, is charged with two counts of residential burglary for a series of break-ins reported between Nov. 10 and Nov. 24, according to a statement from Park Ridge police.
Police said Vega, of the 1100 block of Dodge Street in Evanston, entered homes in the early morning hours while residents were asleep.
He forced entry in one burglary and used unlocked or open garage service doors to gain entry in others, police said. He is accused of stealing computers, purses, car keys, credit card and various electronics.
Vega posted 10 percent of a $40,000 bond set by a judge and he was released, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office. His next court date wasn’t immediately known.
