Bond was set at $400,000 Thursday for a man charged with starting a fire that injured a firefighter and displaced at least 10 residents in the Logan Square neighborhood Wednesday.

Isaiah M. Camacho, 18, of the 4700 block of West Deming, was charged with one count of aggravated arson, Chicago Police announced Wednesday night.

Camacho set fire to the vacant building about 3 a.m. Wednesday in the 3500 block of West Palmer, police said, and the fire “quickly spread” to a neighboring home.

The blaze was extinguished by 4:20 a.m., fire officials said. Ten people were displaced by the fire and a firefighter was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with minor injuries, officials said. No other injuries were reported.

Camacho is due in court next on Nov. 13.
