Man shot in Austin

A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood Monday afternoon.

About 6:15 p.m., the 24-year-old was in a parked vehicle in the 5400 block of West Madison when another vehicle pulled up and someone got out and opened fire, police said.

The man was shot in the arm and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
