Seven people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a building in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

A vehicle was involved in an accident with a CTA bus in the 3900 block of West Ontario around 12:15 a.m., police said, citing preliminary information. One of the vehicles hit a building, which caught fire after the crash, police said.

It appeared at the scene that a light-colored car was the only vehicle to penetrate the building.

Seven people were hurt and taken to hospitals, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said. Two were in serious-to-critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, while the other five were listed in good-to-fair condition at unknown hospitals, Langford said.

It was not immediately known which vehicle each injured person was in.
