A man who was found shot to death in a West Englewood neighborhood home late Saturday night committed suicide, according to police.

The 30-year-old man was discovered in a home in the 1700 block of West 59th Street about 11:20 p.m. by officers responding to a call of a person shot, police said.

The man, who lived in the home, had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:39 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy performed Sunday was inconclusive but police said the man committed suicide.
