SHARE Police warn of NW Side apartment burglaries

Police are warning Northwest Side residents after several apartment burglaries in the Portage Park neighborhood last month.

In the burglaries, someone has broken in through unlocked or locked windows and made off with laptops, jewelry, cash and other electronics, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The burglaries occurred:

— about 8 a.m. on Nov. 12 in the 5600 block of West Eddy;

— about 6 p.m. on Nov. 15 in the 3400 block of North Long;

— about 6 p.m. on Nov. 19 in the 6100 block of West Addison;

— about 6:45 a.m. on Nov. 24 in the 5700 block of West Addison;

— between 10 a.m. 5 p.m. on Nov. 28 in the 6000 block of West Melrose.
