The college basketball season begins Friday, and that’s excuse enough to start talking about the NCAA tournament.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi included Notre Dame and eight Big Ten teams in his preseason bracket.

The Big Ten’s eight teams matches the ACC for the most in the tournament.

Here are the seeds Lunardi gave the Big Ten and Notre Dame:

Wisconsin 1

Ohio State 5

Michigan State 6

Nebraska 6

Michigan 7

Iowa 8

Minnesota 9

Illinois 10

Notre Dame 12 (play-in game)

The four number ones are as clear-cut as ever: Wisconsin, Duke, Arizona, Kentucky.

Maryland and Indiana are two of the first four out of Lunardi’s bracket.
