A woman who was shot in the head Saturday night outside her West Side Humboldt Park home has died.

Zoraida Feliciano, 33, and a man were parking in front of their home in the 3700 block of West Potomac about 6:45 p.m. when the man got out of the vehicle to go inside and get Feliciano’s child, officials said.

As the man got out of the vehicle, a white Toyota Camry pulled up. A male got out of the backseat and began firing at the vehicle, according to a police report.

Feliciano, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was shot in the head near her ear, according to the report. The man heard the shots and saw her slump forward. The white car fled westbound on Potomac, according to the report.

The man got back into the Camry and began driving the woman to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, but crashed at Division and California, police said.

The man was not hurt in the crash.

An ambulance arrived and took Feliciano to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:03 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
