A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened about 1 p.m. in the 800 block of West 66th Street, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the arm and taken to Saint Bernard Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Sweeney said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
