A woman was shot Thursday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 19-year-old woman was in the 3900 block of West Arthington about 11 a.m. when someone walked up and fired shots in her direction, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said.
