A man has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting in Englewood late last August.

James Ivory, 31, was charged with one count of first-degree murder for allegedly shooting 32-year-old Arthur Shanklin, 32 in the chest and neck about 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 26 in the 6700 block of South Parnell, according to police.

Shanklin, of the 1000 block of East 76th Street, was dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
