Police have canceled a community alert about a potential Clearing neighborhood luring incident, saying the incident was unfounded.

Authorities issued the alert Thursday about what was reported to be an attempted luring at a school playground in the 4900 block of West 64th Street, police said.

The alert was canceled Friday after police learned the incident involved some sort of “misunderstanding,” and was therefore unfounded, a police source said.
