A West Side man has been charged with the fatal shooting of a southwest suburban man in the Pilsen neighborhood in 2012.

Kyle Howard, 33, faces one count each of first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon in connection with the shooting at 1:25 a.m. May 6, 2012, according to Chicago Police.

Devon Paramore, 33, was walking on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of West 13th Street when someone shot him in the back and right armpit, police said at the time.

Paramour, of the 8600 block of 87th Street in Justice, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he later died, the medical examiner’s office said.

Police did not provide a motive for the shooting. Howard was scheduled to appear in bond court Wednesday.
