Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood Tuesday night on the South Side.

The man, 25, told police he was approached from behind by three males in the 1300 block of West 71st Street about 8:50 p.m., police said. He heard gunshots and realized he’d been shot in the leg.

He took himself to Saint Bernard Hospital and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
