Lake Villa man charged with child pornography

(LAKE VILLA) A north suburban man facing child pornography charges is behind bars on a $500,000 bond.

Bryan E. Helrigel, 33, faces four felony counts of possession of child pornography, according to a statement from the Lake County sheriff’s office.

He was arrested after a search warrant at his home in the 24800 block of West Oak Avenue in Lake Villa. Police found multiple electronic devices containing “numerous” images and videos of child pornography, according to prosecutors.

Bond was set at $500,000 for Helrigel, who is next scheduled to appear in court Dec. 9.
