Man shot in South Shore

A man was shot Sunday night in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 23-year-old man was shot about 9:15 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Dorchester, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. Two males approached the man and opened fire, striking him in the leg, police said.

The man was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition stabilized.
