A man was critically wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Someone shot the 36-year-old in the head and neck at 12:18 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Gladys, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
