A man apparently suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday night in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

About 10 p.m., the 50-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 800 block of East 88th Place, police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

Police said the gunshot wound appeared to be self-inflicted.
