Police are warning about two recent break-ins at businesses in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood on the near West Side.

In each case, a suspect used a rock or brick to break the front glass, and took property inside, police said in a business alert.

Both break-ins happened in the early morning hours of Nov. 4, one in the 2500 block of West Chicago and a second in the 2400 block of West Division, police said.

Authorities recommend business owners keep their properties well lit, and save any security footage if they experience a break-in, police said.
