From the Associated Press-

The St. Louis region has been preparing for the grand jury announcement in the Ferguson case, but there is no evidence that the announcement is imminent. A prosecutor’s office spokesman said around noon Friday that the grand jury was still in session. And the Brown family’s attorney, Ben Crump, told The Associated Press on Saturday that he was told he’d be notified when the grand jury reached a decision, but he hadn’t heard anything yet.

From CNN-

Friday came and went with no decision, and the grand jury will not reconvene until Monday, federal and local law enforcement sources told CNN.

From Bloomberg –

The Missouri grand jury deciding whether to charge a Ferguson police officer in the August killing of an unarmed black teenager won’t make a decision this weekend, a law enforcement official familiar with the deliberations said as tensions in the town remain high.

From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch-

There will be no announcement from the St. Louis County grand jury hearing the Michael Brown shooting case this weekend, sources have told the Post-Dispatch. An announcement was widely expected this weekend but the grand jury is still gathering information. The grand jury is to reconvene Monday.

Ed Magee, a spokesman for St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch, has not responded to messages from the AP left on Saturday.
