(WAUKEGAN) A Waukegan man has been charged with child solicitation after contacting someone who he thought was a 14-year-old boy and trying to meet him for sexual acts.

Jorge E. Descamilla, 41, used a mobile social networking application on Thursday to contact someone who he thought was a 14-year-old boy, but was actually a detective with the Lake County sheriff’s office Cybercrimes Unit, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Descamilla, of the 300 block of Kyle Street in Waukegan, arranged to meet with the “boy” later that evening but was instead met by detectives, the sheriff’s office said.

After he was arrested, Descamilla told detectives he had intended to meet with the boy to engage in several different sexual acts, the sheriff’s office said. He was charged with three felony counts of indecent solicitation of a child.

His bond was set at $200,000, and his next court date is scheduled for Dec. 31.
